Welcome to the AAIA SOA Wiki
This wiki is dedicated to the members of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) developing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) standards for the automotive aftermarket. Guests are invited to explore this site and follow any of the links provided on these pages, but only registered members with a validated email address are permitted to edit pages.
The content of this wiki is organized into three major categories:

AAIA has published two service oriented application specifications - Internet Parts Ordering (IPO) and Integrated Shop (iSHOP). Recognizing that eCommerce technologies continue to evolve at an unprecedented rate, this wiki serves as a collaborative resource for members working to define new standards, or take our existing standards to an even higher level of performance. Many of the web services defined in AAIA application suites can be used independently. They may be combined with services from another AAIA service oriented application, or used in adjunct with web services of your own design. Stand-alone web services like PIES on Demand are intentionally designed to offer this type flexibility.
The best resource for identifying specific web services in our existing standards is the AAIA XML Standards Dictionary and Web Service Reference website - select the Metadata Library link in the navigation box on the left of this page. If you're interested in stand-alone web services under development, check the Category:Service section of this wiki - select the image to the right to visit that section now.
This section contains resources for developing and enhancing aftermarket service-oriented standards. Here you'll find the AAIA Service Oriented Architecture, based on the OASIS Reference Architecture Foundation for SOA, along with forms and templates designed to automate the creation of required project artifacts.
